Discuss 12 websites
For this assignment, we worked as a team and we assessed what would be the best criteria to analyse the websites by. We did a brainstorming session and we concluded that our main topics of analysis would be content, functionality, attractiveness, design and layout, accessibility, accuracy, and security. We would assess all the websites that we found in conformity with these standards. We decided on the 12 websites so every team member could get to do further research for 3 of the websites from the country of choice. The countries that we chose were Romania, Belgium, The Philippines, America and Congo.
Congo
News: To follow all the political, security, cultural, sporting, and economic news of the DR Congo every day, 24 hours a day.
News: ACP is the Democratic Republic of the Congo's official news agency. It includes text and images that cover national as well as international news.
News: The most recent headlines and news stories in the fields of business, politics, sports, technology, and more.
News: A website dedicated to covering political, security, and economic news from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is run by young journalists who care about coming up with innovative methods to report the news each day while putting the general audience at the center of the story.
Belgium
TUI Belgium’s website provides all the destinations, inspiration, information about vacations customers can go on with TUI Belgium. Customers can book their trip on the website itself. The website also shows the most recent discount deals.
ICI Paris XL is a Belgian website/webshop, that sells make-up, skincare, haircare and perfumes. They exhibit all the products that they have in stock on their website and in store. Everything is organized by brand, but also by the type of products itself. The most recent discount deals are the first thing that are shown on the website. They also have a phone application, which makes it easier for customers who use their phone more than their computer.
Pretty Little Glow is a make-up brand founded by a Belgian woman. She sells make-up and skincare on her website. It has seven subtitles dedicated to the different kinds of products that she sells. You can filter by seeing the products that are in stock and sort by different settings. Prices but also reviews are showcased. Her website also refers to her social media accounts.

Romania
It is one of the biggest platforms in Romania where people can post services or goods. Posting these ads is free of charge, but there are some features that are played like promoting your add or owning an add sloth more than 30 days in a row. There are various goods on this website like electronics, cars, fashion and beauty, pets, leisure and other miscellaneous things.
It is a media website that showcases information of different topics that are trending like sports, politics, events or culture. It is part of the Digi Communications corporations that provides a lot of news channels for Romanian people. It has been active for more than 10 years and a lot of people trust it because it provides an in-depth analysis of the news and comes up with evidence and straight up facts.
It is an acronym for “Dictionar Explicativ al limbii romane” and it means explanatory dictionary of the Romanian language. It has a search button and people can search up the definition and paradigm for certain Romanian words. It showcases the etymology of the word and gives examples in a sentence, explains idioms and gives the sources.
The Philippines/US
According to Wikipedia, BuzzFeed, Inc. is an American Internet media, news and entertainment company with a focus on digital media.(Wikipedia contributors, 2009). Buzzfeed is also popular for online quizzes, DIY videos and pop culture articles. Therefore, the website is well liked by the young people
